This is the south end of Blackberry Bog. This area is a 'beach' thats at the edge of one of the beaver ponds looks messy on the surface and keeps up with that theme its pretty deep to, I got in to the hems of my skirt before I felt a 'surface' below, but it is even deeper if ya stray much longer or try to get much further. I had to wade back to shore and get into my swimsuit and hold my uniform over my head to cross this muck. Its soft gooy, and oh so slipperysloppy! Hip deep n deeper in places I'm sure!

Oh my... i'm on 70% sure, your end of life fate is "drown". You'd better get ready swallow cold sleezy stuff, instead of air.. Youknow, like... "to let go this life with kinda no fears, etc etc.."

I do things scientifically and test the ground before proceeding. I also have several self extraction techniques that I have leaned over the years. I also cary a flotation device, and a backup when exploring places that are new and 'interesting' There's also the rope I also use. I come prepared for emergencies.
There's mud all over the place if ya go looking for it. I've found it all over the west coast area, often in places where I didn't think there would be any too. And I check the rivers seasonally after flood season, something usually pops up, or sinks down if ya catch my meaning ;)
