An awesomely done bust portrait piece of my dear half demon lynx lady Kira with her more... 'impish' tendencies on display as she looms ominously with the moon at her back. A sly, toothy grin crosses her face and her eyes glow with a fiendish light as she looks down at you, like she has some very particular ideas in mind on what to do now that she's caught you... I absolutely love how the pose and expression on her face combined with the lighting and the purple moon in the background really gives the piece a sort of menacing and spooky kind of vibe! Almost looks like she wants to make some sort of deal with you (as demons tend to do), though in reality she's likely just up to her usual harmless mischief! Or maybe she's doing some pre-gaming for the upcoming Halloween season? That's definitely for her to know and for everyone else to figure out themselves! Hehe~ >;3c

That aside, I'm super pleased with how nicely this came out! The purple lighting from the moon in the background really plays well with Kira's mostly monochrome palette, and the contrast of the light coming in from the background to the darker shadows being focused on her in the foreground, I'd say the artist did quite well with being able to pull it off very effectively for a creepy kind of atmosphere! I just really love the look of backlighting/rim lighting effects in general and how it helps to set and enhance the mood of a piece! Just very nicely done overall~

I've wanted to get a commission done from them for a while now, and I wasn't entirely sure of how it would go when I'd pitched the idea to them initially, but I'm super glad that this was the direction that it went and the results came out so nicely in the end!
