If that shotgun is a pump it would be idea to fit with a breaching muzzle break. If she works in a team with the bear it would work for him to blow the lock and have the bear inter first towards the likely side of of contact. With the cat breaking to clear the other side. There is a machine gunner kit for that 249 that would have extra ammo, cleaning kit, and additional barrels of two different lengths. That and a camel back and she'll be green to go.

Here I tried to depict a pump-action grenade launcher "China Lake launcher". It's a bit heavy for one fighter who already carries a machine gun with him, but in theory she is a very big lady. As for the ammunition, you are right. A machine gunner needs a lot of things.
