Glaarians can generate electricity. In the distant past, at the dawn of their kind, it was used to kill prey. However, with the development of intelligence, electro lost its attacking function and turned into a rudiment to flex and attract a partner.

If a Glaarian experiences strong emotions (e.g. very angry/happy/horny etc.), he may start to involuntarily generate electric arcs and glow. He can also do it at will.
