The Legndary duo of Jhoto, Oh-Ho and Breeze the Lugia go and have a day on the beach, but Oh-Ho may be finding something about theirself that they never knew.
(This took so long to figure out how to submit this, since it was just refusing to work for a while.
You keep pushing, you have to know, you have to see. You land on the ground with a large thud, dizzy as you stand up. Feathers? You get up to get a good look at yourself, and see Ho-Oh, but it's you. You are you in this body, or rather, your soul is you in this body. The same one that you remember being. You're so confused, why can't you remember? And what is happening now? Is this heaven?
A familiar voice speaks up behind you, “There you are! Have you been sleeping, because honestly, you still looked tired!" A shiny Lugia... Breeze asks, their voice feminine and high pitched. They had been watching your every move since you arrived here. "Are you okay?" They ask, concern written all over their face.
"Yes," you say. You walk around in a circle. Everything seems so real, so vivid, as if you're reliving some sort of memory, but this isn't possible! Is it? "Yeah, I'm fine Breeze, just been feeling exhausted lately. You are a handful, that's for sure." You say, as memories of Breeze just wanting to take you places, to make you hang out with the regular Pokémon all the time, they are interesting, but you don't want to admit it to them. They would think you were crazy.
"Oh," Breeze says, embarrassed. "I didn't realize I was causing you any trouble. I'll be more careful from now on then!" They smile and you feel your heart do flips in your chest at their adorable expression. They were always so cute when they smiled, but you've been the closest of legendaries since you both hatched, so of course the two of you acted as siblings. You laugh to ease the tension between the two of you. You pat Breeze on the back. "It's not your fault Breeze, just try not to cause me problems alright?"
Breeze nods their head excitedly. "Of course!"
The two of you begin walking into the nearby town square. Breeze was so excited to show off the custom swimsuit she had gotten made for them. Breeze... they are a handful, they want to be referred to as a woman, but old habits of legendaries being refers to as they and them stay with you, but occasionally you would call her as one, making them happy. But now you aren't using their name. You are referring to them as Breeze.
"You look amazing Breeze!" You tell them, trying to hide the nervousness in your voice. You haven't seen these new outfits in ages! Breeze preens and gives a small wave, their tail wagging enthusiastically. "You really think so?" Breeze asks, "You think it fits my figure well?" She asks, and you give her confirmation. It fit them perfectly, which you expected given how much Breeze loves clothes, especially their swimsuits.
Your attention snaps towards something strange. A huge, green, and fluffy creature stands near the water. He looks very similar to a sea slug, except he's wearing swim trunks instead of armor. That would be quite an unusual sight considering the water is freezing cold, but you can't see its arms, legs, nor head. A fluffy Gastrodon? The thought oddly excited you, as you sit next to them. The Gastrodon seems shocked at first, but quickly relaxes. "You're Ho-Oh, aren't you?" His eyes seem to sparkle as he speaks to you. "Yes, I am." You reply, watching as Breeze waves to you, and she's already mingling with the locals, seemingly to be talking to a male Roserade. Gastrodon seems to be looking out to a few Shellos, and by that you mean like 12, "Those are my siblings." He admits to you. He sure does have a lot of siblings. "I heard from Manaphy that you don't get out much." Of course Breeze's Mythical friends are a lot more social than you, and it makes sense, since they live in Sinnoh.
Gastrodon sighs, "I suppose that's a part of it." The conversation drifts, and neither of you notice how close you are to each other. "So, are we going to go for a dip?" Gastrodon asks, and you glance at him. "We? You want to 'take a dip,' together?" You ask, confused, and he nods, "I would be honored to feel the heat you can produce in the hot tub!" He seems excited, and you're feeling good, so why not. "Sure, I've nothing better going on." And he and you go to a hotub and slide in. It's almost like swimming in a sauna!
"This feels nice." You hear Gastrodon say, and he's right, it does. This feels so comfortable compared to your usual routine. You lean your head against the side of the hot tub and stare upwards. He starts making small talk, asking about Breeze? You could finally vent out to someone! Wait, do you trust in him enough to just blindly give info away? "Well, as a Lugia, Breeze is genderless, but likes the girl side of things, as you can tell." You point to her, as Gastrodon looks to see her mingling with some more Pokémon. "And they really enjoy being called Breeze..."
"That explains it, though. Do you know how much they like flaunting their status?" You continue, "They are like, super proud that they're a Legendary Pokémon, but she rather flaunt her body and clothes, I really don't understand her, and yet I do." You admit with a sigh. Gastrodo smiles, understanding completely. "What about your own form? Are you comfortable with being female as well?" You shake your head, "I stick to they/them, as my parents did, I've been having difficulty with referring to Breeze as a she, since I'm used to calling her them." You explain, "She knows though, she doesn't mind as long as they get their own pronouns, otherwise, she's fine with it." You continue and he chuckles. "I imagine." He says as he rests his head on top of yours. "I think I'm done talking now, but thanks again for listening."
"No problem, I actually had a good time!" He says, as Breeze comes up, seeing you two chilling together. "Hello there boys!" Breeze says brightly, their wings on her hips. "Hey Breeze. Me and this Gastrodon were just relaxing together." You explain and she smirks a bit wider and more confidently than usual. "Oh, really?" She asks, swaying her hips in confidence. "Mhmm."
"Well! Shall we leave?" Breeze asks and you nod, standing up, "Yeah." The two of you walk out and start heading home. There's no way in hell you're letting Breeze drag you home again, no way. But the sun begins to set and you're tired. So tired. "Sooo?" Breeze asks, getting in your face. "So... What?" You ask, as Breeze gives a smile, "You know exactly what I'm talking about, the Gastrodon! I'm excited to see you making friends!" Breeze squeals very girl like, and you just look at her. "Breeze, I'm going to bed soon, I think we should just drop it now okay?"
But Breeze won't let it go and continues squirming in your face until you push her away. "You're going to make it awkward if we keep on arguing." You tell Breeze sternly. Her expression shifts to one of disappointment, as you take the covers and fall asleep. You didn't expect such a reaction from Breeze, and you weren't expecting such a large change to occur between the two of you so fast. You knew that the two of you were close and that sometimes you needed to speak up for yourself, to be strong, but never, never did you expect that Breeze would react like this. You turn over, feeling guilty, "Come here, Breeze." You say, wings opened wide and she practically dives for it, excitedly cuddling up to you.
"Good night." You whisper to the warm bundle of joy, and you feel relieved. You fall asleep rather quickly, in the brace of your closest friend.
