‘Hold still, we’re almost done,…’
“If there is anyone who ends up in quicksand or mud more than I do, it’s my friend Carissa,… I swear I don’t know how she manages it, but barely a day goes by that she doesn’t end up practically covered in mud or sand, but like me she always manages to get out, one way or another. But fur doesn’t clean off quite as easily as smooth skin, and Carissa can be,… ‘uncooperative’,… when it comes to bathing,… thankfully the Wisps are there at the hot springs to help at least.”
‘Nyah!! This is not how cats clean themselves!!’
‘You were covered in mud, you were not licking yourself clean, now hush.’

usagiforehead another picture of Ember and Carissa though not quite as peaceful as the previous picture. ;)
What started as a joke about how often Carissa seems to end up in quicksand, and the need for baths afterwards ended up as this silly and cute picture from Usagi. The girls look good, Carissa certainly is not happy, but then cats never were fond of baths, and it really shows, especially from her tail sticking up from the water. I also love the wet look she has, with her hair wet down, and her fur clearly drippy, it really adds to the bath feel. Ember clearly isn’t taking Carissa’s objections seriously and is determined to get her clean, and understandably so, no one wants a dirty kitty. The lighting effect provided by the Wisps and Ember’s hair flower really is very nice, adding a great atmosphere to the picture along with the hazy mist from the hot springs. Overall, a cute and humorous picture showing yet another of Ember’s jobs on the island. ;).

Pff ahahaha!! Sorry for laughing but this is seriously hilarious!! Carissa’s reaction is plain perfect and it really shows how upset she is about this, Carissa’s expression is perfect and so is Ember’s everything perfectly captures the emotions of the picture, plus from what I can see or was reading, it kinda sounds like Carissa would’ve preferred to stay all muddy then get in the water and take a bath, something tells me that Ember and the Wisps had to find a way to trick or lure her into there, it’s definitely a really funny picture that I love, also I can only imagine what Carissa looked like after she got out of the mud.
Oh, don't be sorry, it's meant to be funny. ;) Yeah, she is definitely a very grumpy kitty here, which shows very well, and she would have preferred to clean herself in a more cat-like way, which Ember clearly doesn't think would be sufficient. As for them having to trick her, hmm, maybe. I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)
It’s more loved it since it was amazing!! Also yeah it is definitely pretty funny, and perfectly shows Carissa being a grumpy kitty here, it is obvious she would’ve preferred to clean herself as more car-like way but, this way is likely better anyhow since, I don’t think the cat-like way will be fun since she’d likely get an awful taste if she got mud in her mouth, also Ember is likely lucky that Carissa stopped causing her trouble and being cheeky, I can only imagine what would happen here if she didn’t stop it but, if I had to guess what would happen if she still caused trouble, it would likely end up with Ember getting pulled into the water.
Indeed it is funny, and yes, she certainly can be a grumpy kitty when she wants, and while she may not like it this way is better, and I doubt she'd like that much either, but Ember is fortunate that Carissa is grumbly, but cooperative, she may be grumpy, but she's still a good kitty afterall. :)
To be fair, most cats hate bathing. So it really isn't a surprise Carissa is not a fan of them ;). But she's gotta be cleaned, whether she like it or not in the end XD . And it's a good thing Ember is there to help out on that part, as well as the Wisps ;) . But really great pic from Usagi :). With the picture itself and the environment all coming together wonderfully, it gives off that magical feel :).
Well, yeah, that's pretty much the whole joke behind this. ;). And clearly she is not a fan, but as you say, she's gotta get cleaned, like it or not, and yeah, good thing Ember is there, with help from the Wisps. Oh, definitely great work from Usagi, they both look great and the lighting and environment look spectacular, and very magical feel indeed. :)
