Hebi is a Serperior that resides in a nearby forest. he has a peculiar way of hunting: he prefers to duel his prey before eating them. after being caught, he gives them time to prepare to fight, using Pursuit to chase anyone cheeky enough to try to run at this time. while that might seem unfair if facing something like a Buneary, to him, they would have been eaten anyway, if not by him, than someone else. if his prey wins, they get to leave, or alternatively, eat him. he has yet to lose a battle, meaning he has just a bitof an ego.

Hebi often toys a bit with weaker opponents, intentionally holding back to give them some sense of hope, only going all out if the opponent is strong enough, since Hebi likes to be challenged. if they are strong enough but Hebi still wins, he won't actually digest them (unless they get on his nerves), instead keeping them for a bit while draining their strength with Leech Seed so they aren't in any condition to attack him upon release, so they can come back later to regain their honor.
being an honorable snake, Hebi shows immense disdain for underhanded tactics, throwing much of his restraint out the window if he deems them to be so.
