I had to do a thirty second 3D animation for a project in high school. I drew this on a bus ride to school the day after the three week assignment began. It would become a lovely model I wish I still had. I'd love to be able to apply the model to several animation ideas for stories I've written since.
The animation was of a dolphin swimming. The gimmic, I created an overly large and detailed for the time teratin for it to swim and play through the air in. I learned that Poser, at the time was one of the worst things you could use for animation, becuase the manual didn't tell how to turn off the motion auto correct. I had to go through the entire animation every day I worked on it with a notebook filled the the XYZ motion and loctaion of every aspect of the animation after adding the new stuff from the previous day. I got caught asleep at the wrok station several times as I obsessed about getting it JUST right. I had the air around it's melon quiver every time it sent out a sonar pulse for crying out loud. XD
I am SO glad I'm not the perfectionist I once was. It's healthier for me. lol
