Jordehundurs are a unique breed of Leoleo, characterised by their short coat and their mohawk and “sideburns” which are remnants of their mane.
They are primarily bred for hunting and rescue, though the hunting trait is slowly being bred out. Most Jordehundurs are found in the north where it’s more common for people to get lost and injured. Jordehundurs are ordered to search for survivors by a scent given by a family member of said survivor and howl if they found them and to alert their handlers to get additional help if the survivor is unable to move or is unconscious. If they are found dead they howl in a mournful tone. If they can’t be found at all they return home.
Jordehundurs are very docile and intelligent making them perfect breeds for saving lives. They aren’t very good in defence especially against larger predators but will still try in order to protect people.
