if it was a real thing it would be about building up (and stealing) the biggest hoard of shinies, kobolds, and magic items.
Gonna vomit some more ideas for it below:

Game ends when 1 person's hoard reaches a value of 50.
Players choose their decks and build them around amassing a kobold army, smelting ores and minting coins, or unlocking magical items.
Kobold cards are used to defend hoards, smelter cards are used to refine items from the mine deck, which is somehow also a deck of normal playing cards (they double as treasure cards and playing cards so like magic items could be kings, queens, and jacks etc.)
Certain magic items and kobolds can be used up to attack other players
On turns, players can: place 2 cards, place 1 card and use 1 card in their hoard, or use 2 cards in their hoard
