This is where my Kitty car sits today
She's a Mercury Cougar Xr7 with that not so tiny 4.6L v8 =P
I shall be replacing the stripes with a single wide stripe down the center x3
This car has been through a lot and has done a lot for me over the several years I have had her..
Tho today she isn't driven much due to the fact I cannot afford the gas ;_;
Long Live the Mercurys!

Doesnt it have leaf-sprung suspention and a live rear axle?
Im in no doubt american cars are great at comfort.. i mean, they have cadilac..
and going in a straight line, what american cars are really, and only good at...
and i have to concieve that the V8 is a torquey and reliable engine.. but i cant get past the fact, and i cant say it enough..
It's not as good as it could have been, if they had let a french person loose on the chassis-supention.. Frenchies make the worlds smoothest and most comfortable cars, but they dont sacrifice things like handling and roadholding in the prosces, and it always anoyed me that the american car-manufacturers did..
Oh.. oops.. sorry bout that.. It just sorta' came out..

I assume it's the same 4.6 modular V8 OHV used in Crown Victorias, Grand Marqs, and some Mustangs. Very great motor indeed.
I drive a '00 Crown Victoria P71 (Ex Wisconsin State Trooper) And my engine sounds still brand new.
Take good care of her, and she'll take good care of you. =P
