Well, this page could have had a better layout. Like an illustrated example of each of Alex's excuses as he lists them instead of just the one. Probably could have even split this page into two as... well, the next page is rather awkward. Because the real reason he's rejecting Roger's help is kind of... well. I'm not sure if I made it clear. So, not spoiling it, I'll let you guys read the upcoming pages to see if you understand the actual reason Alex is so hesitant.

As for the poster in the background. It's something I made of my brother after he lost all of that baby fat that had been bugging him his whole life and he's running in his first Triathlon. I'm still proud of him now 6 years later. I even placed it juuuust right so people wont notice the human in the background. I creatively placed word bubbles on future pages to hide the fact that this is during a time when humans are either extremely rare or essentially non-existent.

Oh as for the weird number and the symbol, it's a fake money system I made as a kid ("Blambers"... Yeah, you can really tell how young I was to come up with that name.). At the time of making this page, I figured it'd be easier to use a fake money system than have it limited to any one particular real world system. And considering all of the inflation going on right now, I think it might have been a smart move.
