Spitfire Audio was hosting a scoring competition featuring a scene from the show Bridgerton, so in trying to keep with the Regency era, my composition focused on orchestral rhythms that conveyed motion and emotion, and instruments that fit the time period well.
This is just the musical excerpt, if you'd like to hear it with the scene it accompanies, you can give it a watch, here

Thanks, Ramzi! I'm imagining Pacato very easily dressed like this to get in the mood, strolling through the manor halls as he's composing! https://www.furaffinity.net/view/43116582/
Absolutely lovely...I always like a sprightly 3/4 time signature. :)
I wanted to hear this first before I watched the accompanying scene. It stands as a fine composition on its own, and it painted some lovely images in my mind.
I also think that it accompanies the scene very well. I know from experience that providing the right music under narration and visual action can be challenging.

Thanks! I had a piano mockup of a 4/4 theme earlier that I was trying to decide which to go with, but after listening to both, the more waltz-like 3/4 and the oboe theme I heard over it sounded like it hit the various scene cues much easier, so I'm happy with the way it came out in the end. :)
