New Ysra lore dropped in my brain last night since the Auscives D&D group is currently in her hometown. c:

Due to tragic events instigated by a BBEG, Ysra lost a 200 year old tree that served as her home to a Delayed Blast Fireball, and most everything in it. She salvaged what sentimental items she could that survived, and took them back home to her parents. Here’s where the new lore comes in; I learned that Ysra’s parents are messenger dove breeders. The birds featured here (based off Lucerne, Owl, and Green Imperial pigeons) are Vaeleryn Forest Doves, part of a system of communication that works in tandem with magical means and the courier/postal services of Ulei’Var!

The named bird here is Naevi, the affectionate brat of a dove who smacked her in the face while she was talking to the party’s bard, just because he missed her in the two years she was gone. The one that kid!Ysra is holding is a far-back ancestor.
