Meilin Lee as a red panda from Disney Pixar’s Turning Red, takes time during year 2002 the same year I was starting to turn 13 so I relate to the main character Mei a lot loving to doodle, listen to boy bands like Backsteet Boys and *NSYNC and hang out with my best friends from school and I even once owned a tamigachi when I was younger but I didn’t poof into a big red panda whenever I got excited especially when I turned 13 at almost the same year as Mei although I would’ve been cool to go through magical puberty when I was 13 and transform into a big purple dragon unfortunately I had other problems to deal with when I was 13 and dealing with puberty so I have mixed feelings about magical puberty Vs real puberty but still I relate to Mei pretty much as a character and I think she looks good as both a red panda as well as a girl.
