Personally, for me, the movie "The good dinosaur" is one of the worst works that Pixar has done.
The plot and script are very loose and clichés, lack dynamic and interesting nuclei that fuel the excitement about the film, and not to mention the horrible design of the characters, which are too caricatured for the style of animation that they gave to the film, which is almost realistic (For several moments of it, I thought the scenarios were real landscapes) ... Not to mention that despite the premise of this "What would have happened if the meteorite had not extinguished the dinosaurs?" The film has many historical and evolutionary errors in dinosaurs.
That's why, with my complaints, I swallow my redesign of the tyrannosaurs that appear in the film.
Without eliminating the design of the faces that they gave them in the film, I tried to make the proportions of the characters more real, eliminating those huge heads, making them with a more believable physiognomy in the thorax and something more erect, leaving them the muscular legs to lift all the weight of your body, as well as adding a pair of longer and more developed arms.
These last changes, since, we know that there are theories that say that if in truth the dinosaurs had not been extinct, they would not look the same, they would be evolved. Depending on the time, their bodies would become erect, allowing them to use more legs and arms, (such as humans) and possibly, their limbs would grow. There are more theories that dictate that dinosaurs would look very different in our actuality, theories like they would be almost humanoid, or that instead of rough skin, they would have feathers, but that was discarded for the redesign.
Anyway, this new design I like more, they would have left for the film more realistic designs of the characters, and maybe I would not have had so much failure.
