You've formulated a strong opinion that was forged through some very difficult personal experiences, and anyone who would judge you for them without bothering to know you are the same people that don't deserve to have an opinion on social media. I really don't blame you when it comes to situations like this. people would complain basic things like this attempting to get a point cross, but slowly failing in the process and not understanding the full concept like age consent in different cultures/countries .~.

Also as for the whole groomed/sexually exploited you mentioned, i'm really sorry this happened to you in the past...no one shouldn't go through that.

I've known this trouble for wayyyy to long...being a die hard fan of Sonic the Hedgehog universe and the furry porn side of it all i've had to hear about is "They're minors you creepy fuck!"....Despite either are saying outright they're aged up and or....y'know...it's a needlessly complicated paradox IMO.

My advice? Draw what inspires you, what drives you or what you hold dear to your heart and enjoy...or heck, Whatever strikes you as fun at the time. Afterall, YOU are the artist, not the ones naysaying you ^_^

What you do in fantasies does not reflect what you're going to do in reality. Willpower is a thing. Self-control is a thing. Just because someone else does terrible things that were a reflection of their interests, doesn't mean that applies to everyone or even most people.

And this goes to everyone else too: you're not a monster for liking stuff. Liking stuff shouldn't be stressful.

I've had, sort of similar conversations about this with some of the people I know, just, about coming at it from the opposite direction. You know, people drawing characters as children and being like. "But look, it's okay, they're 18." The whole issue with stuff like this isn't what the characters stated age is, either for the picture or the canon, it's entirely based on how they are presented. If a character acts like a child and looks like a child and are sexualised, then it's attempting to appeal to pedophile's. But if they're not presented like a child, regardless of what their stated age is, then, well, they're clearly not trying to appeal to them.

Given Japan's greater frequency of sexualizing minors in media and some of the real life issue's its created there, I get where people are coming from, but they miss the issue massively by going against characters based upon wiki age and shit instead of by how they're presented.

Imagine what would happen if all that outrage were actually put to something... you know... actually useful.

A 15 year old from an anime show doesn't even register on my radar for stuff to be concerned about. People have indeed done way worse, and Carrot isn't a real person. There isn't a need to get offended on behalf of a character in a cartoon show. It may be cringe, as the vent art admits, but yeah. I can think of way worse things to complain about than some anime character getting sexualized, and this is before I mention my regrets in getting a politics and government degree. (I come here to wind down, so no I'm not expounding on that.) Do what makes you happy. I can't think of any people being harmed by this who aren't falling on their metaphorical swords to harm themselves.

I dont think twitter is the best place to make that sort of argument. hardly anyone there actually listens to your points
