A Northfur appliance (actually supposed to be a snake), recolored in P-shop... just brainstorming about making a personal appearance as Komos at next AnthroCon. (I've never been one for fursuiting.)
Just for comparison, here's a few pix of the guy:

BTW why isn't there a submission category for costuming/fursuiting?

If you want it more as a mask, try cementing it onto a green spandex hood. You can buy those open faced and with a zipper in back, or add a zipper in back yourself. Once that's done, your friend can apply liquid latex to the hood and blend the prosthetic to the hood, add coloring and detailing.
This could be done while you wear it, so that he builds the mask over you in real time (hope you're not claustrophobic), just remember to have wrapped your head under the hood in saran wrap or something protective so that when it's done the latex hasn't seeped into the spandex and bonded with your hair, because THAT would be horrible. This way will ensure a very tight custom fit.
The other option is to find a headform that matches your head size reasonably well, and do the blending/painting/detailing on top of that. The one draw back is if it's not exact the final hood will be too tight or loose, and a floppy mask or asphyxiation aren't too fun.
All of this assumes you just want the final piece to come on and off rapidly vs. putting on the headpiece and then gluing down the prosthetic to hide the edges.
