Doggust 2022 - #12, Charlie Barkin
November 17th, 1989. Mongrel, primarily shepherd.
Weird franchise! I enjoy all of it because I like animated dogs and shitty cartoons, but I really do believe the first film is something special. That specialness manifests in many ways; especially beautiful, especially funny, especially surreal. And I love Charles B. Barkin. I love characters who start off as selfish, miserable assholes but gradually become good-hearted, lovable slobs, and even though that facet of his character gets bowdlerized as the franchise goes on, I still appreciate it. And fr, this movie is worth watching for the scenes between Burt Reynolds and Dom DeLuise alone. Such great chemistry, and such great character acting for a Talking Dog Movie.
Concept art training. AI generated imagery + photobashing + 3D modeling + digital painting. I think this counts as a screencap redraw..?
