In my newest class, 'Game Prototyping', we are working with the program 'Game Maker', which, as you can imagine, is a program that allows you to make games. (This program is nothing like RPG Maker or the like, you can literally make any type of game you want so long as you know how to spirte and how to program).
Well, to introduce us to the program and get our feet wet we are making a CD player, a program that can access and play an audio CD in the CD player. We have the programing, all we have to do is design and create the interface.
Well, this idea was too good to pass up, my interface is in the design of Soundwave from Transformers.
For those of you who don't know, Soundwave was a Decepticon from Transformers that transformed into a tape player.
Everything here except for the Decepticon logo was created by me in Photoshop, and instead of my normal method of coloring and shading, I did everything with individual colors and with the pencil tool, mainly because I think Game Maker wouldn't be able to display the colors properly if I did my usual dodge/burn shading method.
The programming still needs to be done before this becomes a functional player. if you're interested in seeing this when it's completed, stay tuned and I may have a link for you to download it.
This will probably deleted at some point since it's not 'furry'.
Soundwave and Transformers are © Hasbro.
Art and interface design (based off the original) is mine.
