During a yard sale recently, I found a damaged 1950s San Marusan tin toy locomotive for $1!
After getting the locomotive home I found that it was to damaged to repair, so I stripped it for parts. (Electric motor of same type used in postwar Japan's gorgeous wooden model boats, and a small bellows and whistle).
Being that the locomotive is the same size as an o-gauge locomotive, I kept the shell and began customizing it, with the hopes of eventually converting it to an actual electric train!
