Kentucky Railway Museums usual operating practice is to head out with L&N 152 on the point going one way and then pull back with a diesel. However there was a period a couple of years ago where they tried using the run around method and pulled both ways with #152.
They might still do this from time to time but from what I've seen they've gone back to the old push-pull method now. However, it's interesting to note that KRM for photographers sake don't pull the diesel on the end of the train like other tourist railroads. The diesel follows the train some minutes behind and couples on at the station stop at the end of the line.
