In a test of reflexes Duncan finds that he still has a lot to learn. Here Duncan and Hake vie for steamed bao.
In such a test, it helps to have something you love as the prize. Bao or ‘Baozi’ 包子 are a delicious, warm, fluffy treat of stuffing wrapped inside a sweet, white dough. Some call them dumplings but those are boiled or pan-fried and use unfermented dough, whereas bao buns are steamed and use fermented dough.
