She was the last of her kind, and there was that miracle. Deena couldn't help but to cherish her little one in her arms. Even in the darkest hours there is hope, and Fannie was her reason to live and to survive.
Deena was a prey on this ruined planet, but she will give the predators a hell of a dance.
She has something to protect, something so precious that she won't hesitate a single moment for Fannie.
A huge pic - 15x20 inches (50x70cm) - done for an event in a dozen of days. This will be shown at the Folie Marco, Barr, for the entire month of December. Theme is Nativity, hence the title!
The snapshot doesn't shown half of the details, and gives it a warmer tone than expected.

This piece is absolutely gorgeous! I absolutely love the details, the posing and the entire composition. I love the fact that her dress melds into the snow as if it was almost made of that wintry night. The visual depth is just wonderfully rendered and the detail is so fine and crisp it is almost as if Deena is going to walk right out of the frame. I really like the posing of her wings and the reflected light from the halo is captured brilliantly through that glass or crystal like glass. I really like that Aurora Borealis glow off the halo itself as it stretches out against the star field in the background, it gives it a warm radiant feeling that is is more ethereal and heavenly then if it were to shine with just one simple hue. The simplicity and elegance of the dress is a nice contrast in and of itself with the rich red to red violet hues accenting the white with just the right amount of color. Fannie came out just as wonderful as her mother as she seems to curl there in peaceful slumber despite the sad cold world about her. I like your choice of symbolism inside this piece as well. Absolutely lovely congratulations on being able to display this piece for all to view in person. I wish I could see it in person myself, but alas I live too far away.
Now this is a piece of Epicness! The beauty, the glow, the atmosphere, and the lovely Doenes of course. But I mean, my god is this ever a lovely piece. Doena looks lovely, and prism glow that surrounds her and her halo are just beautiful. Than little Fannie in her arms, so precious. There is also something about Doena's face. Different from the rest of the images I've seen of her. Something a bit more clean and crisp. More than just her smile, those stunning eyes, or they way her hair flows. I can't put my finger on it, but lord do I love it.
J'adore!
