I had this idea few years ago to try and age a 2D character from the age of 9 to 23. This is the first digital test of the process, wich I currently refer to as Chronomorphimation.
PLEASE LEAVE FEEDBACK!
...oh and...yes....I know he's human...I'm just really pleased how this came out

This test is being done with a much larger scene in mind. Essentially my story is about a sorcerer. Not some Harry Potter bullshit either. These guys are the real deal. These where the sorcerers of legend. The guys who could sumon fire from the heavens and blast skyscraper sized lightning blasts from their bare hands. Pretty much...bad ass mother fuckers!
So...yeah...he looks evil. ^.^

Oh yea, its good. The creator of that game promised so much but delevered only maybe half of what was promised.
One of the concepts was playing from childhood to adulthood. Watching your character age before your eyes.
Sadly, the childhood segment, was exactly that, a short segment. No watching said character mature through combat and adventure.

It's smooth all the way through, but you need to have a slower start and end so that it starts and ends smoothly. Also, I felt like his head was shrinking. Just my feedback, take it if you want it and send it right back if you don't.
Also, I felt like you have to continue and make him old as well.... and then end with a tombstone... but that's just me.

It's part of the score by John Williams from the original Superman Movie
The track is called "Leaving Home". It's a really beautiful piece and I've used it in several animation demos in the past. The entire track is much more dynamic and sweeping but for this test I only wanted a few moments from the middle of the track. I recommend the entire score since it's an amazing range of film music and nearly every track is epic in some sence.

The ears arn't changing much and the nose doesn't seem to be either, the two things of the face that never stop growing as we age.
It was really good, but by posting it you let fact nazi's in like me heheh...
At least you can learn from what I said, I can't learn fantastic animation and drawing skills the same way, which your skills are by the way. Fantastic.
