Second of three commissions I took at AC 2022's Artist Alley, this was commissioned by 
james.ferret, featuring his character, possibly also a fursona (being that it's based upon the owner's fursuit). "James" has a pet snake, if I recall the details correctly (subject to revision). A rattlesnake. One that appears to have asp-irations of trying out that boa-constrictor lifestyle, much to James' chagrin :)
Technical:
This pic, despite appearances, is a pencil sketch. For display on FA, I elected to do a cleanup much like I did on the previous commission. posted a couple of days ago. Being this was in pencil, the process was a lot less precise. Most of it was removing duplicate pencil strokes, darkening areas that the scan didn't pick up at the same contrast as other areas of the page (you can see the pic was done in a sketchbook). Along the way, I performed minor anatomical fixes, the sort of thing you notice after you've completed a pic and look at it a few days later
This was in fact an overnight job, further complicated when upon returning to the Artist Alley the following morning I discovered to my horror that I had left the USB cable for my scanner (a Canon LiDE 25) up in my hotel room...at the Doubletree, one of the farther-out-there hotels from the convention center. Taking a photo wasn't going to produce decent results in the 'Alley, so I had to quickly excuse myself to catch a con shuttle back to the hotel, grab the cable, and hotfoot it back to the convention center (the shuttle ran on a 45 minute cycle, so I couldn't wait for it as I promised the Alley staff I'd be back in under an hour), Once back, I had to wrestle with the cable to get my ThinkPad Yoga X1 to recognize it (it was running a Win7 driver under Win10, but it worked when I tested it at home, so it had to be a fault in the cable). I finally got everything to work, and was able to deliver the sketch, the whole while keeping the commissioner in the loop via Discord.
