Am looking at the image scaled down, and am appreciating the way you handle the color temperature of shaded snow. I'm seeing a bit more magenta than what I'd usually see in my photos, but that's probably my monitor. Plus I don't get to photograph snow much.

Looks really good. I like how you did the lighting and the shadows on the snow and trees. It must have been quite a bit of work to do making sure you didn't miss anything with that much detail.

=) I always love when I see a proper light effect and shading on some picture that its already amazing, it turns it realistic and gives the feeling of being there, even more when the fox is looking straight t your eyes (which its a hard effect to do for some people) ~<3

This is single handedly one of the most beautiful works of art I have ever seen.

He'd [Guy Coheleach] probably love to hear that. It is rather interesting to hear how he got into wildlife painting, and the folks that supported him.

Do you have any of his art collections, where he discusses the composition of his pieces?

I have one of his art books, but I havent been able to look at it in years cause it's in storage. He is one of my favorite and most influential artists. I'd love to know what he thinks about. Heck I'd love to talk to him someday and tell him how much I appreciate his work.

That's ok I don't mind critique! It was a problem that was plaguing me. I haven't spent much time around snow and I was worried about such inconsistencies, but I was short on time. A friend of mine who spends most of the year in snow said that snow does weird things in forests and was passable. Of course if I were told it was completely unrealistic I would have had to shrugged my shoulders and carried on because of the deadline. Hopefully next time I will do better! :D

I really love how you put more detail into the fur compared to the scenery. It really pulls focus. Though I can't help thinking the sun and fir tree should switch for balance in color. But this is probably more natural.

Love the color choices, so vibrant and sets the environment so well.

Uhhhm I dunno, it varies from snow piece to snow piece, but Ultramarine plus Cobalt violet makes a nice snow blue in watercolours.
