A couple of the Christmas cards I've been commissioned to do this season, for stores around my town. I both love and hate doing these types of cards...
Love: Oh shit... I get to have fun and make cards of my own design! And people buy and seem to like them too! yay! My life has purpose!
Hate: I get paid less than $5 an hour to make original art cards like these. Each card takes a hour or more to make and getting paid so poorly... yeah... it makes me depressed... As an 'original artist' making these cards and stuff by hand... meh. x.x

That's kind of a popular look, though, you have to consider. People think it's kitschy or something, I don't know. "This looks like it was made by 3rd graders!" "I KNOW isn't it great?" lol... not referring to these cards as looking like 3rd graders work, that is in reference to some of the things I've seen sold.
personally i think it makes the cards look rushed. not to mention why would anyone want someone to think their art was made by 8 year olds (if your not an 8 year old). unless of course thats the style shes going for here....we dont know...maybe when and if she responds we will know.
