Body heat pig/ lukewarm or temperature pig
Same as my last pic, I'm not calling the new starters by any of their official or fanon names, rather I'm calling them by their official names' meanings. No slapfights about names in the comments, please, although I would like to speculate that those of you who prefer the Japanese names probably do so because you don't understand them (except native speakers of Japanese, of course).
And I mean it about the body heat thing! "Pokabu" is derived is derived from "pokapoka," meaning "warmth circulating through one's body," and "buta," meaning pig, which could be interpreted (unless I'm severely misunderstanding) as both "warm feeling pig" and "body heat pig." Since the latter is funnier I go with it.
Tepig is either tepid(lukewarm)+pig or temperature+pig. Not sure which interpretation I prefer more, really.
Final Fantasy style, natch.

I think it's definitely "tepid" rather than "temperature" if only because tepid is so close to Tepig.
I think you're onto something there though, thinking that preferring the japanese names probably has a lot to do with not understanding them. Something about Japanese just seems more "poetic" to Westerner's ears for some reason, I think. Same reason there's so much English and German in names from Japanese works...
