I'm basically uploading this to get some opinions. I've never played this kinda form of blues slide guitar before, and I'm not real sure how. But, I do know that I absolutely loved playing it. I need to work on my technique, 'cos obviously blues guitar is more than just a bunch of random, sloppy slides and hammer-on scales.
This is also my first time using open G tuning (DGDGBD).
I'm gonna try working on Plexadonn's theme song, which is gonna be this kinda thing.

i love this kind of stuff. cool to see acoustic blues on FA. i feel like the blues often gets over simplified into a cheesy cookie-cutter song form. i guess a lot of people don't understand that if you dig through all the pop culture cheese surrounding the blues there's some really serious stuff. anyway, cool improv.
open tunings are great. if you mess around randomly with tuning you eventually find ones which draw you into really mysterious intervals...
if you're looking to improve your technique you should work on keeping your rhythms strong. without drums you have to be pretty on point to create any propulsion.
ever listen to any john fahey? death chants, breakdowns & military waltzes is a great album.
