To get a better idea of what the owl-like alien space wizard looks like, I drew him as a young man, and a few other additions. I'd be an odd occassion to see him raise his arm from his cloak now; and the tail... where is it hiding normally?
Also that thing on his face is infact not organic, its affixed over his browline to cover up what he perceives as a physical deformity.
