During a field test, Surge came across Riot causing some trouble with his music/sound power via his howl and his 'MagnaCaster'. She watched him do his thing and struck up conversation. It was a tad tense due to the two not knowing the other, but he found her pretty 'awesome,' but both quickly left. Overtime they'd meet up when she was in the field or by sheer coincidence. They hit it off pretty well with each meeting. His rebellious nature and bad boy devil may care attitude made her like and respect him, while HER brashness and power made him want to know her all the more. Though unknown to either, Starline kept erasing any memory of him from her mind due to the fact that 'such connections and emotions were detrimental to the grand plan, and were an unwelcome distraction,' but SOMEHOW he had ingrained himself so hard into her subconscious, she'd ALWAYS remember him the second she saw him. Eventually when Surge and Kit go rogue, Riot joins the fray and in the midst of combat, both Tenrec & Jackal realize they were MADE for each other. Every since, they're inseparable, Riot never oversteps when it comes to Kit either, he gets their whole dynamic and is kinda like a pseudo big brother for the fennec and Kit finds him rather cool since he treats Surge so well and as long as SHE'S happy, he's happy.
