I think it may just be misogyny in furry spaces. A woman cannot have flaws or unsympathetic traits without being labeled a bitch. Men are usually given more leeway.
There's also a lot of splitting - a character is either entirely good or entirely evil, with no middle ground.

After reading through some comments , it is interesting that she think Basil will leave him instead of the other way around. Both Basil and Auburn seem to have their own flaws and things they need to work through, hopefully they can work on them together for a good ending but who knows at this point
That's interesting, we'll if that's the case then I guess my question would be Is this how her relationship started with him too? Him thinking that she was "different" from what he's used to? Although I seems the case for Auburn and her was that he never tried reciprocating her feeling. I say that just based off of how he told her that they just had a sexual relationship and he never was never going to go beyond that. Sorry for the block of text I'm just a bit invested haha
