A few of my friends already know this about me, but I have two pet lizards. A bearded dragon called Garvey and a leopard gecko called Nacho.

Nacho is very sweet and shy, but she still comes to the front of her tank if I tap on the glass or open the door out of curiosity. She's very gentle and moves slowly when exploring, licking everything and enjoys being pet on the back of her neck. She doesn't like being handled so I only do it once every other day but I make sure to interact with her every day to keep her happy and change a few things in her tank to keep her interested in things besides food.

Garvey on the other hand is a complete idiot. He's very funny and refuses to eat anything other then bugs. Ive seen him run into walls, try and climb flat surfaces and he tries to eat anything that's colourful apart from vegetables and fruit.... although he will try and eat a sodding picture of some fruit! I don't know whats going on in that single brain cell of his, but its very amusing watch him run around my house and try and climb things thinking hes arboreal.

Sadly my bearded dragon had to be put to sleep today. He developed some sort of neurological disease and there wasn't any kind of treatment so I had to make the decision. His quality of life had become very poor.

I'll always miss and love you Garvey.
