Just an idea I had for another book that I may work on after my current project. The title for this series would be called "The Witch, The Werewolf, and Their Little Monsters Live Here". Basically, the same old trying to blend in with normal people stuff that never works out. I actually had a lot of fun working on this little bit. There is an extended version on my Patreon. Enjoy.
.....................
Sasha and Elias rode their bikes along the park. The evening continued to creep up on them as they continued to enjoy their day together. But that didn’t matter to them. They both had permission to stay out late that night from their parents. Their first real date.
They both been friends threw elementary and middle school. They liked some of the same shows, played some of the same games. Now, after a night on the town and a quiet dinner for two at their favorite place, the only thing that would make their first date perfect would be to watch the sunset and the moon rise over the city.
“We may not make it up to the top before the sun sets.” Sasha yells behind her to Elias.
“At least the still got a great view going up the hill.” Elias yells back, adjusting his backpack. Sasha sometimes likes to pick arguments with Elias, but this was not one of them. The view of the sun setting was second to none for the two teens. As the sun finally crescent over the city scape, the two reach their destination, the Lover’s Summit.
The Lover’s Summit was duly name because before the city removed the road up to it, it was the prime hangout spot for those who wanted some time alone in their car. Rather it was to make love, to find love, or drink away a lost love, everyone would go there. Now, most people didn’t want to make the hike up to the top. Sasha and Elias were lucky enough that they beat the patrol going up because bikes were not allowed either and they didn’t want to get lecture by the sheriff or get Elias’s dad in trouble with the with his boss.
“Wow, the view is great up here.” Sasha says setting her bike down and walking over to the edge.
“It is.” Elias replies, looking from behind her.
Sasha turns around, realizing Elias was talking about her. “Oh, look who is a sweet talker.” Sasha takes off her backpack and starts to unzip it to pull out a blanket. “If I didn’t know you better, I would say that you had something else in mind other than watching the moon come up.”
Elias lets out a small sigh, “What a dirty mind you got.” He then smiles as he too takes off his backpack and pulls out a blanket.
Elias lays out his blanket before both teens lay down on it and cover up underneath Sasha’s. They then both use their backpacks as pillows as they look out, waiting to see the moon in the open sky.
“This has been a great day.” Sasha says. “I am so glad we decided to try dating.”
“I’m just glad we didn’t run into anyone from school.” Elias replies.
“Afraid that someone would see us? Why? Half our class thought we were dating already.” Sasha says with some sarcasm.
“That’s why. I don’t like to be judged my looks.” Elias replies.
“It’s not like we have anything to hide.” Sasha replied. “We both agreed after my mothers ‘sex’ talk, we had no plan to do anything but enjoy time together more.”
Elias shutters. “Oh, don’t even bring that up. It even got my mom cringing. And she is a counselor.” Elias then rolls over to look at Sasha. “I don’t know, I guess I like just us being us without everyone’s opinions. I mean, look at Josh and Kevin. When they were only together for a month before they split from the pressure. They said they will try again after high school, but that still three years away. If this works, I don’t want to wait that long just to hold your hand.”
Sasha takes her hand under the blanket and grabs Elias’s. She then brings his hand over to her heart. “You won’t.” Sasha then looks up over the opposite side of the hill. “Look the moon is coming up.”
The two flipped over to watch as the moon slowly crept over the horizon. The light from the moon soon lit up the large hill and the two teens. They watch intently, holding each other close as the moon became larger and more round. Leaning into each other, they two could hear their hearts beat in unison as they watch. Every so often, they would catch a glance of each other, their happiness apparent. As the last of the last of the moon emanates into view, the two teens look at each other in their eyes. There was no denying it now, the two were in love. They slowly, awkwardly, move their faces closer to each other. They took in each other’s breath before finally committing to their first kiss.
They lost themselves in this kiss, their eyes close in silent prayer that the moment wouldn’t end. Once it did, they smiled to each other.
“That was amazing.” Sasha says.
“It was.” Elias agreed. “I guess if that is what I get to look forward to, I don’t mind some jokes at scho…” Elias words were cut short from a strange feeling in his gut. He groans as a heat starts to take over his body.
“Elias, are you okay.” Sasha asks with great concern.
“I don’t know.” He mutters. “I’m so hot and… Aaarrrr.”
Elias tosses the blanket that was covering them as Elias kicks off his shoes. Elias then slams his hand to the grown just past the edge of the blanket that they were on. As he does, both he and Sasha watches as his fingernails start growing, turning dark.
The two teens look at each other before Elias feels another wave going threw him. He wasn’t in pain per say. The feelings he had felt more like his muscles were spazzing or being stretched just before their limits. Sasha gets off the blanket as the starts hearing Elias groans turn more animalistic. Elias looks up in the, right at the moon, when it dons on him what is happening.
Before he could say or do anything, Elias’s transformation quickens. He pushes his feet our as his toes and nails start growing, thickening under his socks. His shirt becomes his taut as his chest and shoulders start growing outwards. Black, brown and gray fur starts growing over his body as his muscles start to reshape and grow.
Sasha covers her mouth, trying not to make a noise as she watched her best friend turned new boyfriend not turn into something else, something that she couldn’t describe yet.
Elias ears start growing to a point as his nose and mouth start to push out. His teeth sharpen as his canines become more predominant. His nose turns black and rubbery as fur starts to cover his face. His ears start moving to the top of his head as his hair starts to blind into the ever-growing fur. Elias claws at the ground as his hand thicken, growing longer and get covered by thin fur.
Sasha is then startled as she hears Elias socks explode under pressure from what she can only describe as large dog paws come out from them. Following Elias leg upward, she watches as his feet stretches out and his calves become more muscular and similar to that of a runner’s. She could see his thighs thicken under his shorts as his muscles and fur grow. Elias’s legs grew longer as something starts to bulge in the back of his pants.
With a loud rip, a black and brown tail comes flying out from under Elias’s belt, taring his pants between his two back pockets. The tail grows and thickens with fur as arks upwards at the moon. With a mix of a whine and a howl, Elias’s shirt starts ripping as his fur start pushing outward with his growing body. His tail starts to whip around wildly as lastly, his face pushes out one more time into that of an wolfs.
As his transformation ends, Elias falls to the ground, exhausted and breathing deeply. He lets his now long tung hang out from his new muzzle as he catches his breath. Sasha, still watching him, slowly moves closer, getting onto her knees.
“Elias?” She asks in a concern tone.
“It’s still me.” Elias moans as he pushes himself up to his knees. The two sit there on there knees staring at each other as they talk.
“What? How?” Sasha asks, unsure what to say.
“It’s a long story. The short version is that my mom’s a witch and my dad is a werewolf. And now apparently now I am both.” Elias says with very little enthusiasm. “Sorry, I wasn’t allowed to tell you or anyone.”
“Wait, so your mom is a witch, as in magic?” Sasha says in her normal tone.
Elias raises an eyebrow. “Aren’t you scared?”
“I was until you said that it was still you, now I am just confused.” Sasha says.
“Well, I can tell you more later. Now we got to get home.” Elias says, “But how. I can’t be seen like this.”
“Let’s just call your dad then, unless his is in his werewolf form too.” Sasha suggests.
“No, he can control it. This was my fist transformation; it could have happened anytime during a full moon. But after tonight, I can more or less change whenever I want, after some practice.” Elias replies as he tries to go for his phone.
As he reaches for his phone, he is unable to get it out of his pants pocket do to his legs being so large now and his thighs pressing his phone against the fabric. “Do you mind calling my dad? I can’t get my phone out.”
“Yeah,” Sasha replies she smiles at Elias.
“What?” Elias asks, “Is there something on my face? Some dirt?”
Sasha shakes her head as he takes her phone and snaps a quick picture before showing it to Elias. “No, you just look so cute with the little white diamond on your muzzle.”
