His air valve is on the back of his neck, and close to that is a heart symbol. The heart is a mark of special magic that makes his body more resilient and pliable. Most heart-bearers look like mice, and there aren't many frogs around, so what he was intended to be used for when created by the organic species that predate him by generations is anyone's guess. Being an inflatable, he cannot swim, and is at the mercy of wind... and of those with the marks counterpart to his heart mark.
