This composition dates back to 2010, when I was just beginning to write compositions on a computer.
Back in 2010, the bass line was randomly generated using the arpeggiator in Native Instruments FM8, but it was later lengthened from 8 bars to 16 bars, with slight alterations to the original randomized arpeggio. The melody, though not an exact copy, was inspired by that of the music for Stage 4 on the Game Boy version of Battletoads, produced by Rareware and composed by David Wise.
Instruments used:
- Roland CR-78 (sampled) - metallic rhythm, tambourine, guiro
- Aly James VPROM - Main rhythm with Oberheim DMX samples
- Native Instruments FM8 - DX7 Bass 2 preset, additional FM-synthesized bass
- discoDSP OB-Xd - Melody
