If you cannot be with the one you love because of their gender, sexuality, identity etc, you are oppressed and disrespected. As the pride months (June for US and July for NL) come to a close, I wanted to give a proper send off. Sometimes it feels like to me to stop people from hating, is to oppress them. See how they like it. Of course this world is not a perfect one and State Saud is obviously an imaginary nation that could never function how I imagine it. But wouldn't it to be nice to feel safe walking hand in hand with your significant other without feeling that someone might do something to you. And if that would happen, that you could call for help and the criminal would be punished appropriately. For violent hatred. I guess one can dream, where love is the norm and hate is the exception.
