#793: A Brief Respite
Well, welcome back, and welcome home, everyone. It's been a long five years that I haven't been around with Boomer Express. I tried living in Los Angeles, but couldn't figure out how to get a job or work up enough motivation to even really try very hard about it. I moved up to the San Fransisco area with friends and after delivering pizza to pay off any remaining debt from the LA attempt, I've kinda been... just coasting ever since.
Not that it's a bad thing. I've got my support from family and friends and all the things that make it somehow affordable to live in one of the most expensive ZIP codes in the country. I am still on very solid ground and I want to thank everyone who's been supporting me and my Patreon for those years as well.
Commissions are nice, but that's only one part of my life. This is another part. I would like a third part to be a career as an animator, storyboarder, or comic artist somewhere I can be appreciated and helped to grow into a more prolific and powerful storyteller. That will take a lot more work than I'm used to, and I'm still building up enough self-confidence and motivation to even apply for jobs... but every day I feel a little better, a little stronger, and a little closer to whatever my future will be.
Thank you for your patience, as I got several acts of my life together and learned about how to be a better adult. This will be my next step, and my next challenge. Jared and Victoria have been patiently waiting to find out what happens in their lives, along with every one of these characters and more that have yet to be introduced.
It's a magical world, my friends.
Let's go exploring!

I am happy, and don't sell yourself short. You've done more than most have, more than I have. Sure I have had Navy get in the way of what I really wanted to do... and hop that my motivation hasn't been depleted and I too can even get where you have. I too suffer from a lot of the same limitations you do and yet, I see you, and look up to you still.
Keep it going Tyrnn, we love you and we love your work!

I've kept watch of you over the years and I have seen your practice and continual pursuit of drawing grow and become better and improve.
With that said, I do hope you find what you most enjoy doing and can continue to create and be imaginative.
Never too old to work on making dreams a reality. :)
