(Previously unreleased old artwork, vol. 1)
It was a very quick sketch done during a discord conversation, about ten minutes or less. I sort of accepted long ago that Elder Scrolls Online asset makers have no idea whatsoever on how to design a mount, and seeing screenshots from this game doesn't usually make my eyes bleed.
But sometimes I stumble upon things that I simply can't ignore. Like this horror. Seriously, is that bridle glued-on or what?

It always hurt me seeing the silly tack design on all ESO mounts... i assume they're probably intentional not wanting to "seem like they mistreat animals" or some other virtue signaling nonsense, but it consistently peeves me.
Nice to see someone working on rectifying this nonsense <3 Your artistic endeavors are much appreciated

Honestly I think they just don't know how tack works. The thing is, some of the existing designs would be uncomfortable or dangerous to the mount (without any gain such as "giving the rider more control"). If it was about non-human animal welfare, they could start with not using any bridle - which is very much possible with IRL horses. And since it's Elder Scrolls, give the player a cheap "command animal" spell for emergencies for immersion purposes. I did a similar thing in Skyrim when I played an Orc druid, all my horses had only a saddle. Easy to code and less work for the asset maker...
