All I can say is... whoah....

OK so I can say more but still that's all my mind was able to say for around five minutes after I finished this.

Here we have two of my characters who you would have seen very recently in the last few uploads I've done but this is to me a much more interative piece. You have Zarek laying on the lower ledge of a rock formation by one of the watering holes in the Thallien Pridelands and is meeting Kulja for the first time.... well sort of. See Zarek's met Kulja before, however at the time he was a totally different lion who was dying of old age. Kulja as the young healer/spirtual leader/witch doctor met him when she was giving his last rights shortly before his death. Zarek warned her that he'd see her again but not as he was at that time, telling her that he was actually a god who lived out his life among his followers like a mortal. He lived and died like a mortal but was always being reborn. Kulja at the time didn't believe him but humored him.

This is a few months later, when Zarek's new family sent him to what could best be described as Thallien Pride's schooling; Kulja being the main teacher of the cubs despite the fact that she is a panther. Kulja, being the sort of "witch doctor" she is realized as she got a good look at him that he was the same lion she'd seen months before and knew well was dead. Needless to say this was the first time Kulja ever reconized reincarnation much less a god. Because of this moment, Kulja will always be a bit jumpy when she knows Zarek's around as it feels to her like having her boss watching her every move. She will get over the initual shock and will hold Zarek's council when she feels she doesn't know what to do... she also finds it a great way to get the correct history across as history does get obscured over time.

As for the make up of this piece:

This peice took probably around three or four hours with the outlining, coloring, background, shading... well the whole works. I didn't clock myself because I didn't think I'd put this much effort into this piece. There are a total of ten differernt layers not including the layer used to do my siginture. I'm so proud of this piece I marked it twice.

The original sketch couldn't have been more than a hours work or so so that would add up to the whole thing sketch to finished digital colors taking around 4-5 hours, not adding into that the time it took me from the finishing of the sketch to the starting of the outlining on my computer.

I decided to save this a png file and found it's huge, the original size being a little over 2MBs I've posted the resized version which is still large. When TLKFAA comes back on line I'll either have to size it down even more or post a JPG file of it just so I can lower the quality to get it posted correctly.
