This is a headshot I completed a few days ago for Krogermart on Art Fight! AF has been crazy motivating for me. My headshot of Bud was drawn, colored and shaded from scratch, and I'm very proud of it. I'm even more proud of this one, though! This character doesn't have a name yet, so we've been referring to them as 'starry' over on Art Fight.

I've never done a front facing headshot before, and I wanted to experiment with a more 'painted' art style (which didn't work as well as I would've hoped, but it was an experiment for a reason). Besides using canvas symmetry for the first time ever, this was another instance of me drawing my own lineart! I'm very excited by the results, and I feel like I'd be successful if I ever wanted to come up with a ych.

Because it takes me so long to do *just* the lineart for each drawing (thanks, OCPD), I plan on only doing one more drawing for Art Fight. This one is much more ambitious than the others, and I'm going to hone in on stuff that I know I'm good at as well as stuff that I've never tried before. This last one is gonna be for someone who I've had a fantastic time chatting with as of late, and who I feel like I should give back to :) It's gonna take a while, though. I've already spent at least 4 hours on it, and that was just me trying to get the head right (to be fair, there's a lot going on with the character's head). It'll be good!
