Number of days since last incident: 0_______________________________________________________________________Among other canons, there's one where Shard has Abber contained deep within a scientific facility. Why? See, with Abber being such a huge cuddlebug (in this instance), he's rather difficult to control, wanting to share his affection with anyone he can, in or out. Not to mention, latex and/or goo has vastly unknown properties which make it inherently very strong, very unpredictable, and as such- very difficult to stop. It's also debatable as to whether or not the frequent breaches are accidental or not (let's be real, in Shard's case, it definitely isn't), and as such, chances of Abber escaping end up being quite high.
Whenever these said breaches occur, Abber leaves behind large patches of latex/goo that spreads out among any surface it can, especially to organic materials, clinging to them and slowing them down. If Abber reaches someone, he'll aggressively cuddle or absorb them, covering them from head to toe in their latex or goo, or later be ejected from his abdomen within a large egg, similarly made of the same stuff. This can also occur with enough exposure over time from the material residue he leaves behind. Through any method, however, given enough time, they will either be transformed or hatch as another instance of him, similarly wanting to spread the same affection he has for anyone not turned.
Thankfully, Shard had developed an aerosol antidote which can successfully revert the transformation, applicable to everyone affected, spare for the original Abber, of course. However, what follows is minor memory loss, effectively rendering every breach as a researcher's first experience. Granted, Shard has the means of activating this protocol the moment Abber escapes each time, but... doesn't.
