I did this one a few years back now, when I started drawing TLK based art. Dutchess is the little sister of Castor and Pollux.
Her story as copied dirrectly from my "Original Characters" section on TLKFAA:
Dutchess is Castor's long lost sister. At a very young age she was stolen away from her parents and brother by humans; one convinced she had been abandoned and the other thinking of a proffet to be made by showing off the cub.
At first she was chained by a paw thus causing the lack of fur growing on the ankle of the paw. She tried to escape and became so vigerous in the task that she broke her tail (no one ever did anything to fix it so it is now a part of her look). Upon finally escaping the leg manical she found freedom for a day... before getting captured by the same people and then fitted with a heavy leather band around her neck connected to a heavy metal chain.
A few years passed and the one who kept her as a trophy's young son came to see her. It is unsure if the boy accidently unchained her or what but the moment the chain was unhitch, Dutchess bowled the boy over and bolted for the door.
She somehow managed to illude her persuiers this time and made for the lands that most smelled like the home she barely remembered.
When she found she was nearly home she ran into a few male outlanders. Not knowing that they may not be safe she approuched them in where she might find her homelands and if they knew of a way to get the collar, that had warn away any fur that should have been growing underneith, off.
They did help her get the collar off but not in a nice way, as she now has a claw mark raking her neck and part of her shoulder all on the left side.
In running from these males she stumbled upon her homelands and her brother at the exact same time. He and three other males on guard duty scared off the outlanders.
Dutchess is a very shy and nervious lioness. She worries about the cubs constantly, thinking that the pouchers might find and take them away. She is very nervious about any males' approuching her save her brother.
Because of her captivity she is not that good at hunting though Kibi and a few other lionesses are trying to help tach her.
And here's the discription I'd used when I originally uploaded it on DA:
This is a combo of pictures I drew of Dutchess as a sort of character sheet in a way. The original had the "What was..." switched with the "What could have been..." I decided that the images needed lighting... I think I failed though. I might try it again later... either way. I loved the images.
By the way, the lion cub with Dutchess in the "What could have been..." image is her older brother. I really love that image... too bad she was kidnapped when she was a cub by humans and so the image never took place except in her dreams. Of course they weren't as clear as this to her.
