[pets] tasha helps alf fix the xbox
the story on the xbox: it won't read the discs and banging on it doesn't seem to help. alf desperately wants to play halo reach so this is driving him up a wall.
the story on the dog: tasha is our new dog. she's a 7 year old lab mix who got put up for adoption on craigslist because her owner is going through a divorce (with two kids) and doesn't feel like she has the time to devote to her. she's really a sweet heart, and today's her first day here 'for good' even though we had her over for a weekend before to see how she did.
our living room is a little wonky right now because we're rearranging.

where are you banging on the xbox to try and realign the laser? I've found that sometime if you bang on the opposite side of the laser it works better (seems to send a better jarring pulse or something... it's worked for me several times.) if you do have to open it up there are a few youtube videos that show the exact place to tighten the laser up... should be simple to find.
