Dragon is my character.
The Dragon spoke not a word, he merely held out the sphere of light in the palm of his hand.
His smile did not undermine the gravity of the situation, rather, the words of trust he had uttered with such calm vulnerability to me only highlighted the sheer breadth of love and care he had shown in the days leading up to this moment.
The warmth I felt was not as palpable as the sheer power that waxed within the sphere.
The core of his being, something far more precious to him than all the wealth in the world, displayed openly, and shared graciously.
