Creature concept-- Brute Beetle
Try to avoid these oversized beetles entirely - they can slice apart solid steel like butter
--DATABANK--
The Brute Beetle is a highly aggressive, large beetle. It is rarely found through the Inferno Meadow, but it can be found more commonly in palm fields.
It has a metallic-like tough exoskeleton, greatly reduces incoming damages. It's upper body is also lined with magma rocks which allows it to set flames around itself.
It has 2 pair of pincers, one noticeably smaller. Both are equipped with sharp blade like projections, making it very lethal to confront against. It can also breathe fire.
It is omnivorous, meaning it would eat both flora and fauna alike, even dead ones.
Unlike most other dangerous faunas, the Brute Beetle is extremely relentless - It would stop at nothing in reaching it's prey, even if it would get itself killed. If it followed the prey out of the meadow, it could wreck havoc to the foreign land.
It's egg is very similar in appearance with the Empress Phoenix's. The egg would also grow in size before hatching a newborn. Newborn beetles are already capable of flight, hunt and flame attack, instead of going through metamorphosis.
It's even go so far in attacking Mantle Worms and Empress Phoenixes, tho the latter has a better chance in escaping.
Should a beetle has fallen, it would attract every nearby beetles. Currently spraying the corpse with gaseous toxic etheric clouds is the only way to prevent more from coming.
Fortunately, it can be momentarily distracted with food
Assessment: Extreme threat - avoid at all cost
