Dang, I wish I had been aware of you extending the time, because I would have bid again (and you subsequently have gotten more from it). If it were a few minutes, or even maybe an hour past the 72 hours, sure, but 5-6 is a good chunk of time.
I understand work issues, and certainly have my share of missing things because of it, but it's kind of disapponting to lose an auction won within the rules of what was set in the description.
If you do another one of these, I recommend you alter your rule of extending the time so many hours past the most recent bid to prevent potential issues for anyone else in the future (it also prevents last minute sniping that might occour).

Of course! ^^ This is only a one-time thing anyways, if I had known about the ability to hover over the timestamps for the specific times I would have disqualified the last bid, but it was already too late and going through the process of undoing everything was just not worth it.~
With this knowledge in mind all auctions going forward will have a hardset end-time; with an exception maybe 30 min - an hour because I'm not going to be suuper stingy over it. So keep this in mind next time :)

Keeping a hardset end time is only going to cause issues, and if anything, it's more stingy to continue using that method over an easier-for-everyone bid=extention time method.
Having an flexible "exception" won't really help either, because it means you can just give whoever you feel deserves the winning bid within that extra bit of time you choose to allot.
You're welcome to use that method if you want, but if you get several people bidding on something, it will inevitably cause issues in the long run.
All of those that do not win (even if they technically did) will most likely be upset with who you choose.
Having a bid= time extension completely negates that, makes it easier, makes it fair, and will even make you more money. ;)

I really only mention the extension because I'm not going to disqualify someone who made a late bid, say... 15 or 20 minutes past the bidding period. It would really just depend on the situation at hand honestly! But I do understand what you're getting at~
I'm generally just trying to find an easier way to make bidding both fair and timely, because I know the frustrations of trying to get in one last bid just when the times ending. This is also like.. my 3rd auction I've ever done so I'm still trying to grasp the basic understanding of things, heh.

Fair point, I should've extended the bid, was probably the better option to give bidders the opportunity to place their bids and make it fair for all~
I Apologize on behalf of both Tellico and You. This is a learning curve for me, and the advice/criticism given is greatly appreciated to make sure something like this doesn't happen again ^^

It's alright, and ty. You draw some lovely kitties, and as an artist that has sold a bit of stuff myself, most of what I was mentioning was just advice on bid rules, since I've dealt with similar things before in the past.
It's your profile and art, so you're welcome to use whatever method you feel is good, but yeah, was just mentioning an alternative that might be better for both you and potential future bidders.
Hope you have a good one. ;)
