Description
Alanna Price hasn't had the easiest life in school. Being born a fish that is best known for suckering onto Mantine and never leaving, then evolving into a giant red octopus that shoots balls of toxic sludge from its mouth really isn't a good way to start life. Always surrounded with a mild disgust has left Alanna cold, quiet and isolated from the rest of the students at the PCA, trying her best to fade into nothingness, hiding in the comfort of books that couldn't judge. One particular day, after a rather harsh insult from another classmate, she burst from the room and ran down the hallway in tears; she ran full tilt into Sarina. Sarina comforted the bawling Octillery, helping her calm down before offering some quiet words of wisdom: "Beauty is what you make of it; there is no one who can take it away from you, only those who can give it." After hearing these words, Alanna had a quiet revelation; she went home and, for the first time in her life, decided to be beautiful the next day at school. Without becoming slutty or over the top, the overnight transformation was unbelievable: from unkempt, unruly and uncaring, she became a completely different 'mon, and all it took was a trip to the hair stylists, a new change of clothes, and a new outlook on life. That very day, she went and joined Red Pollution, and since has been enjoying the drastic turnaround in her life.
Battle Style
Fighting isn't one of Alanna's strong suits, as she never cared for it before joining Red Pollution, so her movesets aren't geared to any one thing other than self defense. Because of this, Sarina has taken the Octillery under her wing and taught her to work with what she's got. Most of her potent attacks hit hard from range, so that's what she's been practicing. Slowly improving, Alanna has become the best sniper on her team, hitting from ranges that most would consider impossible, with attacks that most would consider useless; other Remoraid and Octillery coming into the PCA are even turning to her for advice, when the time comes.
Clothing
Never one to show off (or even want to for that matter), Alanna's clothing has always been rather conservative. She doesn't mind a tight pair of jeans from time to time, but you'll almost never catch her in a low cut top, or heaven forbid, anything as skimpy as a bikini. She's still on the chubby side, so doesn't really want to show the world what her actual body shape is until she's good and ready; she works out for almost an hour every night trying to push herself to the limit and improve.
Parents and Siblings
Jonathan Price (father, Mantine) ; Elizabeth Price (mother, Octillery) ; Jason Price (younger brother, Mantyke)
Unique Traits
Alanna is a very caring person, once she manages to get free of her shell. Because of this, everyone around her feels safe and at ease, and she takes care of her little brother almost as much as her parents do. When she isn't at the Academy, she spends time at home caring for her little brother. She has had a couple jobs, most of which involve caring for the sick or the young, and her main aspiration is to become a nurse for one of the National leagues.
Slowly becoming more comfortable in her own skin, Alanna is still embarrassed by how she acted before her revelation, and tries almost daily to make it up to one person in the school. So far, only a couple people haven't accepted her apology (most are merely bewildered by her sudden appearance and exuberance, something that she was sorely lacking before hand) and has even caught the eyes of a couple other water types that are slowly building up the courage to ask her out. She hopes to have a date for the Fall Formal, but isn't sure if someone will ask her in time.
No one is sure what exactly Sarina said to Alanna to have such a profound effect, but whatever it was must have been earth shattering. The hole that Alanna had dug herself into had no end in sight, and she was even entertaining suicide at one point, but backed out because she was scared of what would happen to her baby brother if something were to happen to her parents. As of right now, she feels she owes her life to Sarina, and has stood by the Blaziken ever since. She has helped Leo get over his ego problems as well (though not as efficiently as Sarina) and has come to realize that everyone deserves a second chance.

Reading about Alanna kind of makes me regret that I didn't make the freshman team that I had in mind, which would have involved a Remoraid. (I suppose technically it's not too late to make them, but... so many characters.)
Jocelyn would really like Alanna, too, possibly to the point of a Formal invitation.

Would have to see how it played out, honestly. Alanna's trying to get better, so she's a bit more outgoing than she used to be, but old habits die hard, as they say. I may have played on a couple stereotypes with her a bit harder than I meant, but it came out decently in the end, I think. Glad you like her!
