I've always been a lifelong fan of the San Francisco Giants, suffering through miserable seasons, astroturf Candlestick Park, gale-force winds, warm beer, cold hot dogs...you name it. In my lifetime, the Giants have made it to the World Series three times. They were swept by Oakland during the earthquake-interrupted series. They had Anaheim on the rocks, but snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. This year, somehow, they made it back to the series against Texas.

This time they won.

Not only did they win, they won convincingly in 5 games. All my life I made plans for where I'd be and what I'd be doing once that moment came. Where was I when this went down? On the tarmac of the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport coming back from FurFright!

Don't get me wrong now! I loved all the time I spent at the con! I wouldn't have traded it for anything! This image depicts what could have been if I would have stayed in town and gone to a local watering hole to watch the series clincher. I know if I was in a bar when 56 years of World Series futility finally came to an end, there's a good chance I'd end up looking like this!
